Elder Anthony C. Lewis, Sr. was born on April 15, 1975 in Thomasville, Alabama to the proud parents of Sherron McCoy (deceased) and Joe Anthony Lewis. Elder Lewis along with his two younger sisters grew up singing in the church alongside of their mother, who was both a songbird and musician in her own right.
In July 1993, Elder Lewis enlisted in the United States Army where he served honorably for 12 years completing three combat deployments. During his time in the military Elder Lewis has had the privilege of singing the National Anthem on multiple occasions for various ceremonies to include memorial services for our fallen comrades. His work isn’t limited to the military for he serves faithfully in the work of the Lord. While stationed in Germany, Elder Lewis served as Pastor of Greater Realness Church of God In Christ, Dexheim Germany of the Germany Jurisdiction. He also served as the Assistant Minister of Music for the Germany Jurisdictional Choir and was eventually asked to serve as the Executive Producer for the Gospel group “Excited Voices of Christ”, this group’s CD sold thousands of copies and was featured at Donnie McClurkins “New Artist” Showcase in Orlando, FL. Since his arrival back to the United States Elder Lewis has been a part of various gospel groups such as Divine Messengers, Anointed Worshippers and Rob Hall and Company. He has opened up for many renowned gospel artists such as Tamela Mann, Titus Glenn, J.J. Hairston and many more. Elder Lewis currently serves as Pastor of Greater New Birth Church of God In Christ in San Antonio, TX.
His profession outside of preaching the Word of God is that of a Master Barber for over 20 years as well as other experiences in Army medicine and marketing. Elder Lewis is happily married to the lovely Lady V. Lewis and they have three beautiful children Aysia, Anthony Jr. and Aalijah. He is blessed to have his family work alongside of him in the ministry.
